Overview
Managed BJU computers are able to print to a large number of printers which are conveniently placed in many different locations across campus. You can also print to a variety of printers from your personal devices. Look for printers that have an ID card scanner.
In most cases, the printers you need will be set up at the time your computer is deployed. If you do not see the printer you need, you can add it following the steps below.

Windows Computers
Installing a printer on your computer
Please follow the steps below to set up a new printer on a Windows computer.
- Click on the folder icon at the bottom of your screen, or search for and open File Explorer.
- Type \\bju-printers in the navigation bar at the top of the File Explorer window and press Enter.
- Scroll through the alphabetized list of printers until you find the one you wish to print to (or use the Search box at the top right of the window).
- Right-click on the desired printer and click Connect.
- Wait a few seconds for setup to complete - you may close the File Explorer window.
- If you don't see the printer listed as an option when trying to print, close the program (Word, Outlook, etc.) and open it again.
Removing a printer from your computer
- In the Search box in the taskbar at the bottom of your computer screen, type “Printers.”
- In the “Best Match” list that appears, click “Printers & scanners.”
- Click the printer you wish to remove.
- At the top right of the window, click “Remove.” (Windows 10 users should see a "Remove device" button just below the printer name.)
Mac Computers
Installing a printer on your computer
To install a printer on a BJU-owned Mac, follow these steps:
- Click the Apple icon in the top-right of your screen and select System Settings.
- In the System Settings window, scroll down the left menu to select Printers and Scanners.
- Click "Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax..."
- Search for the printer you need.
- Under Use, choose "Select Software."
- Find the driver that matches the model of the printer. (You can find the model on the front of the printer.) Click "OK."
- Click Add in the lower left corner of the Add window, and the printer will install.
- When printing your document, a login screen may appear. Enter your BJU credentials.
Removing a printer from your computer
- Click the Apple icon in the top-right of your screen and select System Settings.
- In the System Settings window, scroll down the left menu to select Printers and Scanners.
- Click on the printer that you would like to remove.
- In the bottom-left corner, click "Remove Printer..."
