CONNECT TO NETWORK
- Go to your Wi-Fi settings.
- Under “Wi-Fi networks,” tap BJU-Campus.
- Set “EAP method” to PEAP. (You may need to select "Advanced Options" to access some settings.)
- Set “Phase 2 Authentication” to MSCHAPV2.
- Under “CA Certificate,” choose Do Not Check, Do Not Validate, or Unspecified on most older Android versions.
- For newer Android versions, under “CA Certificate"(if available), you may need to choose Use system certificates. Online Certificate Status should be set to Request certificate status. Domain should be entered as bju.edu.
- In advanced settings, check for MAC address type and make sure the device is using the "Phone Mac" and is not randomizing the MAC Address (Android 10+). Click here for helpful information related to changing the MAC setting.
- Under “Identity,” enter your BJU username in all lowercase letters.
- Leave “Anonymous identity” blank.
- Enter your BJU password.
- Tap Save.
REGISTER YOUR DEVICE
If your device is already registered, you can skip this step.
- Try to access any off-campus website. If your device is not registered, you should be re-directed to nsapp.bju.edu/registration.
- If you are not redirected automatically, you can type nsapp.bju.edu in your web browser address bar.
- In the registration page, enter your username and password and tap Download. A progress bar will appear and will take about 45 seconds to complete.
- When the registration process has finished, close the browser and reopen it.
- Try going to an internet website. If the website opens in your browser, you are successfully connected to Wi-Fi!
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you cannot access the internet, try the following actions and attempt to go to an internet website after each one.
- Close your web browser and reopen it.
- Turn Wi-Fi off and back on again.
- Restart your device.
- Other problems may prevent a connection; visit the IT Support Center in room 207 of the Alumni Building for more assistance.
FORGETTING THE BJU-CAMPUS NETWORK
- In Settings, tap Connections > Wi-Fi.
- Tap BJU-Campus (on some phones, tap and hold).
- Tap Forget.
